Before undergoing shoulder surgery in January 2007, I was active in the process of raising money for a feature length movie I had written and wanted to make called Something Beautiful. I raised $9,000.00 to shoot 40 minutes of the script in order to create a 6-minute promo for fund-raising purposes, but I needed $70,000.00 to complete the movie. Ouch! Being new to film making, I found it very difficult (as you might imagine) to get enough people to invest in a complete unknown. So, during my recovery from the surgery - whether it was the painkillers, desperation, or simply sheer boredom, it occurred to me that if I could come up with a Web series (my own product running 24/7), people could check out the film work I'm capable of creating. And of course, it might help to raise the rest of the money needed to make Something Beautiful! (But most importantly, I wanted to just keep being creative and have a wonderful time doing it! Isn't that what everyone wants?)
And so, I'd like to welcome you now into the world of Slightly Dangerous. It's a fun, exciting, and easily accessible story filled with drama, lust, suspense, witch's magic, a crazed serial killer, and some very sexy guys too!
You might think of it as the equivalent of going to a drive-in movie, or watching a Saturday afternoon serial in the 1940's, or maybe just sitting back on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and catching the Late, Late Show. You won't be able to resist this hot, new Web series: Slightly Dangerous! But be warned; don't tune in unless you're looking for a good time!
